Complete tour devised to present a wide variety of Malian sites and to enable encounters with different ethnic groups (Songhay, Peul, Touareg, Bambara, Dogon ...)

• Day 1 : Evening arrival in Bamako. Transport to the hotel provided.
• Day 2 : Bamako - Segou: visit this ancient Malian city with its rich past and original colonial architecture. Night in hotel.
• Days 3-4 : Djenné: remarkable example of Sudanese architecture at the Grand Mosque. Night in camping-hotel.
• Day 5 : Sanga and Dogon land. Bandiagara cliffs and troglodyte dwellings. Night in camping-hotel.
• Day 6 : Visit the cliff villages - crafts - Night in camping-hotel.
• Days 7, 8 and 9 : Mopti, Malian Venice; business centre and ethnic crossroads. Visit Timbuktu from the river (with pirogue). Bivouac near the Niger River. 3 days in the inner delta and on the picturesque river with hippopotamus, Bozo fishermen, many villages with architecture inspired by Sudanese culture.
• Day 10 : Visit Timbuktu, mysterious holy town of Islam, ancient main market featuring gold, salt and slaves, the legendary Timbuktu remains a crossroads for many different ethnic groups. Bivouac on the dunes.
• Day 11 : Trip to Goundam, Diré, Niafunké, Léré. Drive through the dunes, then through the bush.
• Day 12 : Niono-Segou and the plantations. Night in hotel.
• Day 13 : After Niono, drive through villages and across the Niger dam. Visit Bamako.
• Day 14 : Departure

Tour 10: (9 days)

Trekking along paths impassable to vehicles: this is the best way to approach the land of the Dogon people. This tour requires good physical condition and a capacity to adapt oneself to difficult and uncomfortable conditions.

• Day 2 : Bamako - Segou - Djenne in 4x4. Night in camping-hotel.
• Day 3 : Djenné - Mopti - Sanga.
• Days 4, 5, 6 and 7 : Walking in the land of the Dogon people.
• Day 8 : Somadougou - Bamako.
• Day 9 : Visit the main town . Departure.

• Day 1 : Arrival in Bamako.
• Day 2 : Bamako - Segou - Djenne in 4x4. Night in camping-hotel.
• Day 3 : Bamako - Segou - Djenne with 4 -wheel drive . Night in camping-hotel.
• Day 4 : Mopti - Sanga camping-hotel.
• Day 5 : Sanga - Bandiagara cliffs. Bivouac on Bankass road.
• Day 6 : Bankas - Somondongou - Segou - Night in hotel.
• Day 7 : Segou - Bamako.
• Day 8 : Bankas - Somondongou - Segou - Night in hotel.
